We're glad you're here! Whether you've attended church your whole life, are returning to church, or have never stepped foot in a church before, Desert Cross welcomes you with open arms. We invite you to stop by for a visit and get connected.
What's Desert Cross' story?
Desert Cross has been serving the East Valley since 1986. We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American (ELCA). Desert Cross has always had a heart for mission, but over the past few years we've grown stronger in our identity as a missional congregation. Our vision for the future is to continue on this journey by Serving in Christ's Name, Making Christ Known, and Equipping people for Mission.
What is worship like at Desert Cross?
Worship at Desert Cross is Biblically based, participatory and utilizes a variety of musical and preaching styles. Each week we have five distinct worship services. Holy Communion is offered at all regular worship services.
Who is welcome to participate in Holy Communion?
Desert Cross practices open communion. We welcome all to the Lord's Table.
How should I dress?
Desert Cross is a "come as you are" church. Jeans or dress attire are equally welcomed.
What about my children?
Children are always welcome in worship and we encourage families to worship together. A staffed nursery is available for children under four years of age.
How do I get connected at Desert Cross?
Our welcome table has information on the many ministries at Desert Cross. Please feel free to visit it at any of our worship services. You may also contact us via e-mail or come by the church office.
