Happy Easter! We are in the Easter season for the next 6 weeks, and the appointed lectionary Gospel is John. We will hear John’s unique interpretation of the meaning of Jesus’ resurrection for the world and for our lives as he recounts Jesus’ post-resurrection appearances. John says he writes to bring people to new life with faith in Jesus. I’m excited to share that we will also hear a new preaching voice bringing God’s word from the Grand Canyon Synod with The Rev. Jacqueline Pagel preaching at Tempe services the weekend of April 23/24 and in Gilbert on May 1. She will lead our adult forums on Sunday mornings so she can share her work with Candidacy and the future of the church.
