LEVITY & BREAD

“I am the bread of life.” John 6:35

Today I am purely trying to bring some levity in a time of heaviness. I laugh out loud every time I see this photo with the pivotal word “TONGS” misspelled in a way that creates a hilarious visual of using “TONGUES” to pick pastries. I hope it brings you a belly laugh today. Don’t forget to find things that make you laugh even in times such as these. This photo was taken by a staff member in 2020 and sent to our church staff when we were apart to give us a laugh even in hard times. The dinner rolls remind me of Jesus’ words, “I am the bread of life.” We have about six weeks of bread texts and multiple ways to consider how Jesus is the bread of life who sustains us physically and spiritually. May laughter, good bread, and tongs to pick pastries sustain us and bring levity to anything you face in the days ahead.
