“I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth…”Jeremiah 9:24b
Every time I see this avo-cardio meme, it makes me smile. I hope it makes you smile, too. I hope that we will each exercise kindness to one another in these challenging times. We must keep Christ in the center of all we do and say. We take the Lord’s lead who delights in exercising kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth. As the hands and feet of Christ, we are called to do the same. Are you stressed? Exercise kindness. Are you frustrated? Exercise kindness. Are you anxious? Exercise kindness.
We are facing tough times in the church but that doesn’t change who we are called to be as disciples of Jesus. As promised, we are working on the budget and strategic planning with lots of meetings and effort put into both between staff and council. Our plan is to share these ahead of time for your review and questions. We must restructure our way of being church for the future so expect to see changes. Change is stressful but we can focus ourselves on being kind. I hope that you are also the recipient of kindness! No matter what is happening, we trust in the Lord who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness. May that be our guide.
Thanks be to God, Pastor Andrea
